Board of Appeals - Section 17.32.070 Code Variance

Notice is hereby given that the Emmitsburg Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2021 at the Town Office located at 300A. S. Seton Ave., Emmitsburg, MD 21727. 

The property owner of 322 S. Seton Ave., Robert Stouter, requests the following variances to Section 17.32.070 of the Town’s Codified Ordinances in order to convert an existing garage into a single-family dwelling: 1) proposed 7’ front yard setback instead of 35’ code minimum; 2) proposed side yard setback #1 of 1’ instead of 12’ code minimum; 3) proposed side yard setback #2 of 2’ instead of 12’ code minimum; and 4) proposed minimum lot width per principal structure of 50’ instead of 85’ code minimum.
