National Night Out

The Town will be hosting the 6th annual National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 6pm to 8pm in E. Eugene Myers Community Park near the playground and bandstand. There will be police vehicles, fire trucks, ambulances, face painting, a petting zoo, pony rides, vendors, music, games, complimentary food and more. Parking will be in the field behind the Emmitsburg Library and Town Office. Anyone interested in being a vendor can contact Madeline Shaw at Mshaw@emmitsburgmd.gov. It is free to be a vendor you just need to provide your own table/chairs and tent if you’d like shade. The National Night Out event in Emmitsburg is just one of thousands of National Night Out celebrations held in all fifty states on the first Tuesday in August each year. The goal of the event is to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make Emmitsburg and other places a safer more caring place to live. The event enhances the relationship between neighbors, law enforcement and emergency responders while bringing back a true sense of community. The event is free to attend.
